Stroma Accreditation and ABBE Announce Partnership

Stroma Accreditation is pleased to announce that we are now an approved ABBE (Awarding Body for the Built Environment) assessment centre. ABBE is a specialist awarding body for nationally recognised vocational qualifications within the Built Environment sector.  ABBE plays a crucial role in developing qualifications that meet industry requirements and provides individuals with the opportunity to progress to specific vocational roles.

This new partnership, along with our status as a Communities and Local Government backed company, is another great vote of confidence in Stroma’s ability to provide the highest quality training and accreditation.

The following ABBE approved courses are now available for booking:

  • ABBE Level 3 Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment
  • ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment
  • ABBE Level 3 Diploma in On Construction Energy Assessment
  • ABBE Level 3 Diploma in On Display Energy Certificates
  • ABBE Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment

Stroma Accreditation offers two routes towards achieving accreditation. Candidates with prior energy assessment experience may be eligible for the APEL route, which is a fast-track option that takes into account existing skills and experience. For those new to the industry, a National Occupations Standards Diploma route is available, which facilitates entry to the above courses.

Stroma Accreditation provides full support and training for candidates. Our courses ensure access to the latest software, ongoing technical support and access to industry experts as well as the provision of standards, code of conduct and all associated materials required to complete a course. Once qualified, Stroma Accreditation will continually promote Assessors and include those who have successfully completed the course on a web directory.

The introduction of new regulations requiring EPCs for commercial and domestic properties means now is the time to enroll on one or more of our schemes. Stroma and ABBE’s courses can enable successful candidates to take advantage of the increased demand for qualified Energy Assessors.  For companies in the Built Environment industry, having in-house assessors is a cost-effective and convenient way of achieving compliance.

For more information on participating in one or more of our courses, please contact Sheena Vaughan on 0845 621 1111 or email s.vaughan@stroma.com.
