PRESS RELEASE: MAY 2008
STROMA APPOINTED AS OFFICIAL PARTNER FOR SCHÜTZ
Stroma LZC, currently one of the UK’s leading independent providers of renewable energy products, has reached an agreement to become the official partner for SCHÜTZ underfloor heating systems in the UK.
SCHÜTZ is highly regarded across Europe for its innovative products and the quality of its German-manufactured systems, whilst Stroma is renowned for its expertise in helping the building industry to achieve its requirements for sustainable and energy efficient buildings. Stroma’s exciting new offer to the market will help the market create more sustainable buildings through the incorporation of renewable technology. As part of the agreement, Stroma will also offer the new ‘airConomy’ by SCHÜTZ, which is a complete heating, cooling and ventilation system.
Matthew Ferguson, Managing Director of Stroma, explains: “We are delighted to be the exclusive partner for SCHÜTZ in the UK. SCHÜTZ’s track record in this field is second-to-none and we see them as the perfect supplier to enable us to develop and expand our business even further into the renewables sector. We now provide a complete range of underfloor heating solutions, whether it be for a new build or renovation, a domestic property or commercial building.”
Both public and private sector specifiers, self builders and local authorities are increasingly looking at ways to reduce carbon emissions and reduce running costs. Low flow temperatures required for SCHÜTZ underfloor heating in combination with other renewable technology, such as heat pumps and solar panels can help cut heating costs by up to 13 per cent as well as significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Stroma LZC will offer three different types of underfloor heating track systems including profiled panels, Takk Panels and Dry Panels. The company will also be offering a complete range of Manifolds and Controls, along with a full installation service.
Working closely with developers and self builders, as well as housing associations and commercial building contractors, Stroma LZC aims to deliver the widest possible range of low zero carbon products to meet the markets needs.
The company has an exclusive agreement with TiSUN® to supply its Solar Thermal products. Austrian-based TiSUN® is renowned as one of the market leaders for innovative solar panel design and development. In contrast to photovoltaic systems, Solar Thermal systems produce heat which can be used directly as heat energy or converted into electricity.
Stroma LZC also has an agreement with HeatKing to provide its high quality air source heat pumps. HeatKing’s highly efficient units are renowned for delivering a coefficient of performance (COP) of up to five and can operate in temperatures as low as -20ºC. All these units are British manufactured, ensuring their quality and performance.
As well as offering renewable energy solutions, Stroma also offers a complete range of construction-related energy assessment services, including Newly Constructed Dwelling (SAP assessment), Existing Domestic Properties (DEA), Domestic Air Tightness Testing (BINDT), Non Dwelling (SBEM) and Public Buildings (DEC). Stroma was also the first private company to become CLG licensed to provide accreditation services for the Code for Sustainable Homes. The company also has divisions dedicated to contracting, architecture and technology, including consultancy and installation for dry linings and partitions, suspended ceilings, air sealing, passive fire protection, intumescent painting, fire and acoustic barriers, fire stopping and air and acoustics testing.
Matthew Ferguson explains: “We now offer a complete solution to all requirements to increase the energy performance of buildings from initial design, installation of LZC products, to training and issuing of an EPC. With extensive experience within our team, we can advise on the best system to meet particular project needs to deliver the most sustainable solution.”
